Deepika Kamaiah (Kannada: ದ ಪ ಕ ಕ ಮಯ ಯ) is an Indian model turned film actress. She has appeared in South Indian films in addition to Bollywood films. Kamaiah was one of the finalists in the Femina Miss India South appeal pageant in 2009. [1] After modeling for about five years, Kamaiah made her debut in the 2011 released Tamil film, Aanmai Thavarael.

Modeling & Film [edit] Kamaiah was born in Bangalore. She began her modelling occupation while she was examining her training 11. She went on to become one of the finalists in the Femina Miss India South appeal pageant in the year 2009. She also won the Lycra MTV Style Awards in the year 2010. While she was still juggling between her modeling assignments and studies, a film offer came through a Tamil director, Kulaindai Veerappan for his directorial, Aanmai Thavarael. [1] However her job went unnoticed without any kind of recognition from the critics.
